The Crown Beer Festival: Friday, August 30 – Sunday, September 1
The great Crown beer festival is back with 14 different beers for you to enjoy.
Here is the list of some of the beers on offer:
UBU 4.5% – Purity Brewing Co.
A distinctive full-flavoured beer with a sweeter finish. Brewed with English Marris otter, crystal, black and wheat malts with hallertau Northern brewer and cascade hops.
Elsie Moi 4.7% – Castle Rock Brewery
Blonde and beautiful single malt beer, light in colour and refreshing on the palate has a wide appeal.
Hophead Dark Star 3.8%.
An extremely clean-drinking pale golden ale with a strong floral aroma and elderflower notes from cascade hops. This beer is full-bodied and full-flavoured yet gentle enough to make it a favourite session beer.
Sanctuary 4.1% – Blue Monkey Brewery
A traditional light copper coloured ale, but with a hoppy twist. A session beer spiced up with a generous and unusual combination of german and American hops.
Cornish Sunset 4%
A crisp and refreshing golden ale. Zesty on the nose, with a clean finish.
Potion No 9 4% – Penzance Brewing Company
A light gold hoppy bitter, the ninth brew from the Penzance Brewery. Fuggles and pilgrim go into boil with pale ale malt with perle and Amarillo hop added later.
Indian Pale Ale 5% – Harbour Brewery
A modern interpretation of the British classic with pronounced American hop aromas. This golden ale has citrus characters and robust yet balanced bitter.
Cornish Porter 4.3% – Coastal Brewing Company
Black in colour, Excellent roast malt flavours in this traditional style porter. Smooth and dark, and easy drinking.
Cornish Crown Ale 3.9%
Light brown/copper in colour. Medium to strong bitterness. A blend of maris otter pale and crystal malt. Pilgrim bittering hops with New Zealand ans summit aroma hops.
Cornish Crown Mousehole bitter 3.9%
Mid brown light bitterness and light hop finish.
Cornish Crown Causeway 4.1%
Mid brown/dark amber in colour. Light to medium bitterness. Made with a blend of Marris otter pale and crystal malt. A full bodied beer with caramel notes. Pilgrim bitternesss hop with summit and fuggle aroma hops.
Cornish Crown Spa 4.8%
Pale gold in colour. Strong yet easy drinking mediun to strong bitterness. Made with marris otter pale malt. Summit bittering hop with New Zealand and pilgrim aroma hop giving a strong citrus finish.
American Pale Ale 4.6% – Milestone Brewery
A very dry, pale ale which is also very hoppy from Nottingham.
Missy Sippy 5.5%
Well-balanced, light, golden, full-bodied ale.
Cromwell Bitter 4%
Light, golden ale with tangerine and citrus notes.
Sherwood Pale Ale 3.9%

Live music
On Saturday evening, we’ve got live music from Liam and Andrew plus a barbecue all day.
Food
Pasties will be available throughout the day with a barbecue starting at 5pm until 9pm.
On Saturday, the barbecue starts at noon and runs until 9pm, with live music with Liam Jordan and Harvey Watt from 7pm.
On Sunday, there is no roast but the barbecue will be running from noon-6pm.
